You may want to create version subsets of your existing SmartVersion patches if:
You want to distribute a patch targeted towards a specific set of your end-users who you know are working with only given versions of your product.
You are using SmartVersion for version control, and want to eliminate certain versions from the versions included in the SmartVersion File; as may happen after major production milestones are accomplished.
To distribute version subsets:
Make sure you already have a patch that contains all the version subsets you wish to distribute. Open this patch.
Build a Partial Patch from this patch, to include all versions of your product you wish to include.
You may later safely delete the original SmartVersion File if the generated version subset contains all versions you will be needing in the future.
