When you are creating a new patch file, you specify a starting version which will be patched with subsequent versions you will include in your patch file. However, you have two options when creating this new patch file:
Create a Minimal Patch: The files for your starting version will not be stored inside your patch file. This option makes your patch files smaller, but requires that all of your end-users already have a copy of your starting version.
Create a Regular Patch: The files for your starting version will be compressed and stored inside your patch file. This option results in larger patch files, but does not require any of your end-users to already have a copy of this starting version.
